First Coast Opera

“It’s an honor to share her story,” said Artistic Director, Curtis Tucker. One of the most celebrated American singers of the 20th Century, Marian Anderson became the first black singer to perform at The Metropolitan Opera in New York. FCO honored her talent and perseverance with performances at a variety of venues that featured soprano, Lisa Lockhart; mezzo-soprano, Taylor-Alexis Dupont; jazz singer, Mama Blue; and bass-baritone, Carl DuPont, all accompanied on the piano by Bonita Wyke.
